Standardized all of the smugmug galleries with scripting & a menu to navigate back into main website if the user gets lost in the site some how or some how gets to smugmug site without going through the main site to get there. This is an unlikely scenario, but will still happen randomly.

Embedded smug mug into all of the pages without the scrolling feature of the embedment. Otherwise the user will find themselves having to double scroll the website which doesn’t function smoothly.

The before / after sliders had to be made in “mobile” versions to fit into the screen on the mobile. It did take significantly more time & adds to the point that the website is truly 3 complete versions per page

Before & after sliders need to be specificly sized for desktop/tablet & Mobile. 2 different sliders have to be made & uploaded to most of the faces (not all, for some reason, depending on vertical or horizontal it seems)

The previous version had a significant amount of the content on one webpage. So it had all of the content for all three version (desktop, laptop, mobile) If the user has anything short of amazing internet connection it was a lot to load without issues or delays. There were multiple sliders, portfolios, videos, custom galleries and script on one page…

Editing was a nightmare, because the internet connection HAS to be the best available to edit the site, because the editing software on the backend shows ALL of the content for ALL of the versions. It was so much going on, on the backend that it couldn’t be managed in any practical sense.

Since the site was started, Litespeed Caching has been added with QUIC.cloud CDN and the website is pretty flippin fast. You can’t really tell you are even navigating between pages anymore. This makes the need for the site to be all on one page unnecessary for quick navigation. It is actually quicker now.

The “acknowledgements” has been added to the bottom corner of each family page, which looks more professional in my opinion.

All of the photos are 150kb or less, except for the specific photos for the page backgrounds that required a slightly larger resolution image. All of the sliders & videos have been optimized to the smallest resolution possible. I have a 30in screen which I believe is a pretty common size for more users.

The break point for margins on tablet & mobile may vary between all the numerous tablets & phones. I used Iphone11 & Ipad Gen3(?).

Each page of each version has been customized in spacing and margins. Going forward, there is a pretty accurate template you can use, but you do still have to “touch up” each one. But, it will go much quicker.

The home page and the family pages are “pages.” All of the individual faces are all “posts.” So the site will definitely appear to be a blogging website, each new face will be a new post. This should rank the site higher and quicker as search engines crawl it.

As you add other websites to the Faces family, including the ones we already have linked to the website, it will provide great credibility to the site. Also, the adding of links in the acknowledgment page will help with credibility also. When search engines see traffic from multiple other sites communicating with each other, it is great for organic ranking. Especially if they are sites like NASA, Wiki, .gov sites, other heavily trafficked sites is great.

Every photo on the site except for the background photos have been copyrighted “Hidden Faces, LLC” in the actual .jpg file & completely SEO optimized with backlinks, descriptions, alt names, names, captions (a lot of photos)
